    I have a nice new 110/90 -18 tire on a honda wheel right now.

    I was wondering if I could put this on my 81 xj650 front wheel.

    what do all those tire numbers mean anyways?

    Doesn't your 650 have a 19" front wheel? If so, an "18" won't fit.

    The first number (the 110) is the nominal width in millimeters;

    the second number is the aspect ratio; in this case "90" which means the tire is 90% as tall as it is wide;

    and the last number is the wheel rim diameter, in this case, an 18" and I believe you need a 19.

    **edit** these are the same numbers used on car tires too, for instance a 225/65-16 is a 225mm, 65% aspect ratio 16" tire.
