To all who have had the sinking feeling and didn't think it would ever budge.

Funny thing is the other 3 were in perfect condition.
Glad the PO only attempted the one and gave up!

The way was a small ground hacksaw blade and some gouging and a broken small drill bit to sort of route it.
A very sharp edged screwdriver and heat to the edges of the pipe after pulling everything else out and splitting the rack, so nothing else would get any heat.

Dead easy... no wait it sucked but the outcome is a HELL of a lot better than attempting to do it with an ezy-out. (which never work... ezy-out should be changed to ezy-f*#% whatever you try to get out)

Eazy-outs work fine....if you are damned careful about how and when you use one.

The top of the mix screw was ground off by the PO trying to get it out.
I guess I was getting at the sinking feeling of finding it, on a set of carbs I acquired a while back and decided to refurb recently and then the accomplishment of making a new groove while it was in place.
Yes... I was patting myself on the back mostly haha.

Oh and ezy-outs work fine on sheared bolts... never-ever on stuck bolts.

    The normal progression...
    1. Have concerns about a tough task.
    2. Attack the task.
    3. Accomplish the task w/great results.
    4. Stroll around our work area and talk a little sh!t.
    5. Humble ourselves re-thinking how easily it could have gone bad.
I'm glad you got it out cds.:)

You got to unstick the bolt first ;)

Left-handed drill bits come in handy too.
