Wire Size?

    This may be a dumb question but electronics isn't my specialty. Is there a wire size for the main harness I need to worry about, or should I put a 12 awg solid copper wire between my fuse and my solenoid.

    It's 18 awg stranded, right?

    Also any information on wires and how the xj works with electricity and why would be wildly appreciated. I frankly don't know why the wires on the battery are so large vs the rest of the wiring system.
