hey guys i just bought a suzuki gs850 on ebay and according to the selling the guage lights come on but nothing else works. That leads me to beleive that some wires are either loose, unplugged or broken.... am i correct in thinking this? Also the bike has sat for 4 years in a garage, what should i do to get it ready to ride? it has good tires and i plan on doing the normal tune up stuff... what should i do to try and get it to fire up for the first time?

I had that problem with mine in the beginning and yes if you can find a manual or a wiring digram for the bike grab it and start from the battery and go through the initial starter circuit and comb the rest of the wiring if that all looks and tests out as fine.

Contact cleaner and eletrolytic grease go along way on connectors as well.

    Cheers and Good Luck,
