I got a model A taillight for my project, and know next to nothing about wiring. There are blue, yellow, and black wires from the bike for the taillight, brake light, and license plate. The new light has 2, a black and a green. Anyone know how to connect them?

Bike wiring should be: blue-tail light, yellow-brake light and black-ground.

As for the model A light wiring, don't know. Original Model A lights didn't have a brake light, so is it original or reproduction? You indicate only 2 wires, so it is either internally grounded and 1 wire is tail and the other brake, or 1 is ground and 1 is tail without a brake light.

If it's the (no brake light) type, you can change out the light socket to a dual filament(1157) type (find at any car part store) and wire it accordingly. I'm sure everyone would agree that it's good to have a brake light.

    I'm thinking very necessary actually.

You will need to "re-engineer" it to fit a dual-filament socket, at the very least.

Oh yeah I got it from tc bros it is for bikes. It has a dual filament already. That's why I'm confused on how to get 2 wires into 1.

If it for sure has a dual-filament socket, then the two wires are for the two light filaments and it is picking up ground through its shell. You would run the solid black wire to a grounding point (like where you mount it.)
