Would these shocks work on a 550?

I tried searching, and i see a lot of people using savage 650 and sportster shocks on their 650s and 750s.. Not a whole lot could be found for a loley 550. The best part is 550's are chain drives, so you can lower more (in theory) than you can on a shaft drive. Also, the front is already down about 3 inches so I'm looking for atleast a 10.5 shock or shorter.

I found these that fit a sportster, outside of swapping some bushings and such, can anyone help determine if these would work?

    Thanks in advance.

Ordered a 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1 shock. Keep an eye on my build thread on the modification section for more details.
