PO cut one of the wires too short ´cause of corrosion. He somehow managed to remove it completely but just sticking a new wire up the hole only gave me weak spark.

Should I try to solder the new wire to the pin? Or is the increase in resistance ok?
I´ll check if the spark is ok before I seal the connection somehow.

If your replacement wire raise the measurements only slightly, I would replace the second high tension lead at the same time to improve conductivity. You mentioned some corrosion on the old lead and it will only get worse with time, so better a stich now than 9 later. If my memory serves me correctly, isn't the secondary coil (the high tension lead) measured out against the primary input terminal (+ coil terminal) rather than between the two high tension leads? I'm also assuming that your meter is set on the 20K setting (can't be certain, flash really bounced off that meter, must be new), is this correct?

    Ok, thanks for your answers

will have to buy some more ignition wire. For now I´ll try to insulate the connection temporarily and test it.

Yes, Robert - the meter is new. The reading at 200 and 20 Koms is the same, except for a "."

"You can check the secondary resistance of each coil by removing the plug-caps (they screw off) and measuring the resistance between the ends of the two plug wires. The specification is 11k Ohms."

I think I tried measuring from one primary to one secondary and it gave me no reading.

Again, thanks for your replies; I´ll return when I have tested the setup
