Just wondering if tank badges were still
available these days? Mine doesn't have
them anymore..? Short of some graphics
or pinstriping, Mine looks purdy plain.

**Not my tank pic. Just a random photo I located.

If your bike has pin stripes, it's an 86 and they had different badges on them

That was actually the airhead I sold this spring.
The tank badges helped "spruce it up"

Hey Mike, thanks so much for the site for those Yamaha decals. I mentioned about them awhile back here but no one seemed to know just where I could get them but the one's on that site look like just what I have been looking for. I knew they had to be some place?
Also, I really like the look you gave to your tank. Nice design for sure. The big Yamaha XJ tank really lends itself to a person getting personal in what to do with it. Being a past Marine (always a Marine) I have given thought to changing my colors on mine to Black-I know everyone seems to want a Black one? But with a nice paint job on it in Black and then a medalion on each side of the tank in (U.S.M.C.) and then maybe do some converting to bring in a lot more Chrome on the bike such as figuring out how to go to larger chrome bars than the Seca uses, maybe something like short stubbies? Not sure but never seen one done up with a touch of class with the Marine Corps thought line but got some idea's coming into this puny brain of mine already for sure. Actually I would like to pick up a second XJ Seca and turn it into a BObber with that theme. Time will tell, right now my bike is having to wait since it never stops raining here in Mi. this year and all I do is mow every other day and on the off days I spend trying to repair the rest of the equipment-NEVER ENDING? Thanks again for the direction. grunt007, XJ 750 Seca R, 81, Mi.

Mine had those plastic badges in the first photo when I bought it in 1988. I hated them and took them off. Didn't figure I'd keep the bike another 23 years.....now if I want to make it collector status I need them again....what was I thinking not keeping them...:)

Yes sir, I've got a plotter and had even considered reverse
screen printing them on an acrylic dome too. My thinkin'
is the heat here would wipe 'em out tho..? 8O
