XJ Colour

Hi ,

Not sure how "technical" this question is but i wasnt sure where to post it.

Is there any way of finding which colour the bike came from the factory has, i did a vehicle check and it has 2 recorded colour changes and the time has came im nearing the end of the rebuild/clean up and the paintwork needs paint.

So im wondering what the factory colour was, i have full vin etc.

you can look at www.partzilla.com look up fuel tanks and it will tell you color.
or look up color in the xj4ever catalog colors will be listed

Thanks guys, here is what im up against and i would like it factory colour, i have found a sticker/decal on the tank which is black and gold so im thinking it should be silver as it is under the sticker...

 

Code 1U Quartz Silver metallic high-gloss finish 1983 XJ750 Seca, and the 1984 XJ750RL Seca models only.

Code 6M Star Silver metallic high-gloss finish 1982 XJ750 Seca

Code 20 Crystal Silver metallic high-gloss finish 1983 XJ750D fuel-injected (Japan only)
