I noticed that the Maxim has the rotor on the left and Seca has the rotor on the right.

How different are Maxim and Seca forks? Would it be possible to use left leg from Maxim and right leg from Seca and have dual discs? The Euro-spec XJ550 had duals.

The Maxim has a leading axle ( the axle is mounted to the front of the slider tube) while the Seca axle is directly at the end of the slider, so no you would need both sliders from the same model.

Which wouldn't have lugs for a caliper on both sides.

All you need is a set of forks from a Euro-spec XJ550.

The Maxim and Seca also have different fork diameters.
