    Hi all,
I've got an xj550 Seca that I'm trying to get to pass an inspection so I can insure it. The side stand shutoff is giving me an issue and I need to get it sorted out. There are no other electrical issues.

    Your help is much appreciated!

The bike won't start with the sidestand down, which is good. The sidestand switch itself is definitely working. But when the bike is running, putting the sidestand down does not kill the engine. It should kill the engine, shouldn't it?

This bike was pieced together from an xj550 Maxim. It has a Maxim wiring harness. Is it possible that the Maxim wiring harness is causing my sidestand issue?

Is it also possible that I have the wrong relays in it? Does anyone know what the numbers on the three relays should be?

    Thank you again,

    Aaron.

deploying side stand with bike in gear will kill motor . put it down in neutral motor will keep running

bike should start in neutral with side stand down but will not start with side stand down and in gear unless you pull in the clutch

side stand relay is under seat behind tool tray hooked to a harness with blue tape on it
