I have been putting alot of miles on my bike and every twenty miles or so i see myself having to pull off my legs for a dangerous outstretch on the highway. I want to try and mount some highway pegs on it to give me something extra since i will be bringing it farther and farther as the days go on. Has anyone done this/ had the same problem as i have? I have drag bars on the bike but i dont think thats it.

you can get highway pegs that mount on crash bars (case savers). My bike had some and now it has forward controls.

Search this site you'll find plenty of DIY ideas for controls and pegs.

I like to move my legs a lot. I put some clamp on highway pegs on my 650's crash bars that work good. gives me 3 leg positions feet on driver pegs, feet on highway pegs, ankles on highway pegs. Have done a lot of 3-5 hour straight rides this way and my legs still feel great after.

You could bolt a plate to the motormounts and add pegs to that. The problem comes with getting them out wide enough to clear the engine.
