I see that the 650 makes 71hp give or take and the 750 is around 86hp. This leads me to believe that the 750 would have the obvious advantage during hard acceleration but i've seen that they have produced very similiar 1/4 mile times. These two links are the sources of my information btw...

Well the spec's say what I thought.
Only making 15 more horse and wieghing 21 Kg more they are about dead even.
The 650 turns in a higher MPH too.
It may come down to who gets the jump off the line.
    The 750 having more torque.

peak hp numbers mean nothing, you need to look at the total area under the curve on a dyno print out, thats where the bigger motor will shine. 7lbs is one HP, so that does mean a lot on small machines. hound said it, probably depends on the holeshot as to who would win the race.

This is really a question of the rider.........

Which one of you weighs more?

The lighter and quicker man wins!

But wait.... what do you win?

Enjoy the ride and the time you remain vertical!

i'd say i way a bit more but we don't intend to really race, i was just going to see what you guys had to say about how the bikes stacked up against each other. Interesting to see the bikes being so similar performance wise.
