Ok guys, the carbs on my XJ650RJ run rich. the bike is completely rebuilt and lightly modified (ported and shaved head, 4-2 exhaust, etc etc.) and otherwise runs perfect. Although I know my emulsion tubes/main needle nozzle are worn and typically running it rich.

Here's the idea. Turbo carbs are mikuni's (way better carb setup) and as far I have read would work if rejetted a little. My hitachi's are... well hitachi's and damn hard to get all the parts for and not all that easy find all the jets I'd want for it to tune it all in one day.

So does anyone have any ideas on this? anyone put mikuni carbs on this bike? I have access to turbo carbs but don't wanna go get them if I know they won't work for me.

Also, does anyone know where I might be able to get new main nozzle's for my hitachi's? I can only do so much with worn nozzles and I believe I have the carbs set the best I can get them right now. But ultimately I'd be fighting an uphill battle with this problem.

I'm lead mechanic at Lake Missoula motorsports here in montana so you can bet I have a lot of mikuni jets and tuning tools. I'm hopeing I can fit mikuni's on this bike. Sure would make things easier.

    Shoot me some thoughts
