I stripped down my carbs last night for the first time and all the main fuel jets were #105 rather than the stock #110. Please correct me if I'm wrong there. All other fuel and air jets were stock.

Is there any chance the 105 jets came stock on these carbs? Everything on the bike is about as stock and original as a bike can be so it surprised me to find a difference with the jets. Also, I understand that if anything these bikes were on the lean side as released in the US so it's of course a little mind-boggling that someone would want to go leaner. Looking at the other stock jet sizes for different XJ's it doesn't look like these carbs could have been a swap from another bike. Should I just throw some 110 jets in there and move on with things?

One more thing. One of my 4 pilot jets was very pitted inside and out while the other 3 were pretty much like new. How does a jet get this way?

    Thanks in advance.

The 110s are correct for a 650 Seca; why somebody went a size smaller is a bit of a mystery.

The pitting would have been due to some form of corrosion.
