XJ650RJ Valve clearance (Who to believe)

    I have the factory manual for the XJ650 J/G and the Haynes manual for the XJ650/750 The Factory manual says .011-.015 Intake and .016-.020 Exhaust. The Haynes says .011-.015 for both I & E on the UK and the J models but specs the two different clearances for all other models.

    Which should I use and what is to be gained?

    there are threads aready on this. the .016 - .020 is correct. Good Question though!
