Can i use this tank on my 86 xj700 air-cooled?
Im currently an hour away from the bike and can't fit it on yet

That's a California emissions tank. If you decide you don't want that one I'd be interested in it...... I have the canister for it, but don't have the tank. .......

You need to cap it AND you need to make sure that you put a Non- Calif. emissions filler cap on it. The calif one vents through a canister back to the tank via that tube, and the cap is non-vented. Non-Calif ones have a vented cap, no canister, and no nipple under the tank.

The Calif ones ALSO have an extra nipple on the carb rack that connects to the canister.

Len Chacal can give more info on the calif. setup. I learned a lot about it through him as I am trying to put a calif setup together .
