The bulb on my 1982 XJ750 Maxim wasn't working. The dealer told me it would be around $60 to order it through Yamaha.

However, one of the guys in the shop told me that I could go to any auto parts store and get a 35 watt H3 bulb. All I had to do was swap/replace the connector on the new bulb and it would work fine. (He also is a XJ rider).

So, off the parts store I went and for under $11 including the connectors, the auxilary/fog light work great!

What was nice, was when I mentioned what I was looking for and why, one of the workers there came out and said "let me guess, you have a XJ750 Maxim". When I told him I did - he said "I have the same bike and replaced the same bulb on mine."
