I am looking to rebuild my xj750 maxim carb and was hoping for some advice regarding what kits/manufacturers I should use. I was looking to use one of the kits on ebay as they are very affordable for 4 complete kits (roughlty $100 canadian for 4 complete kits including shipping) but wasn't sure about the quality of them. Does anyone have any experience with such ebay carb kits? Can I get away with using them or should they be avoided?

Because I am a new user on the website I cannot post links. In order to post the above links I put a space between ebay. ca, remove the space for the link to work, thanks!

most of us buy kits or carb parts from www.xj4ever.com.
you should only need to replace o rings in the fuel rail and mixture screw, and needle valve assemblies and maybe the bowl gasket. jets should all be good just need to be cleaned

at 6 posts you should be good for links and photos

you can buy those kits the drain screws and fiber gaskets are good in them.
cant speak to the other parts

I recommend the xj4ever deluxe rebuild kit if they haven't been done by you before.

None of the kits on Ebay (or at the dealer) come with them, and they are a must-do item.
    Chacal has them in stock.

Kmoe is da man he beat me to the punch...Get rebuild kits from xj4ever....You will be taking your chances with ebay. Years ago I had an 82 virago got the rebuild kits that came with jets...could not get it to run right rear pipe glowed orange turns out jets were 122 which was fine for 86 but not 82 found a small blurb in manual ..front cylinder was 124 rear was 132 got new jets from Jets R Us and it fixed problem. My point is ebay seller claimed these were correct jets...he was wrong take your chances or spend a little more and get correct parts from xj4ever...he stands by his parts great service. Good luck
