Well it's been an interesting year to say the least. I've been quite busy lately (still working despite the recession thank goodness) and haven't posted lately but the year is nearly at an end and it's that time to take stock and a quick look back.

If anything is worth it's weight in gold in times of financial difficulty and wildy fluctuation petrol prices and diminished superannuation funds it's a cheap reliable means of transport.

And we have cornered the market on that. My XJ900 was bought for a song, educated me in mechanical refurbishment and repair, provided cheap transport to/from work and has provided hours of enjoyment on curvy road Sunday rides. I have put on approximately 30,000 kilometres since I got my poor run down but intact XJ900.

Now running extremely well thanks to the talents and information provided by all contributors with a special mention to Rick Massey for the intricate details that some of us may overlook.

If I don't get a chance to post again before Xmas, all the best to everyone for silly/holiday/festive season!

Keep those recession busting XJ's going...we're going to need them in 2009!
