    Hi there,

    Are there any XJ'ers in South Africa? Looking for someone who Knows the XJ to help me get the bike running smooth! I'm a little out of my wheelhouse at the moment!

    I have an XJ750 1984.

    Thanks in advance.

    To be alittle more specific (assuming the bike is in your avatar) you have a XJ750 Seca. There were several variants of the XJ750 sold worldwide, and they tend to get shipped around in the grey market.

    I know of at least one other member from S.A. but he hasn't been on in a while.
    We helped him from here, so we might be able to help you too.
    Start a thread for your machine in Technical Chat, then post a link in this thread in case someone nearer to you sees this.

    @k-moe, Thank you, will do.
    Yes, my ride is the one in the picture, I believe it is the Seca equivalent, but don't think it was ever called the Seca here. The VIN number is 5N1- 00****

    Persistence has paid off!! She is idling and running fairly smoothly!! I think it is now down to a carb sync that is required to get her running 100% smoothly!!!
