xs 750?

    there is an xs750 for sale on craig's list near me for $150, anyone fimiliar with these bikes?

    Kinda, if it is the year I'm thinking of (79-80). Not a bad deal, they (the 750 and 850) were three cylinder thunderheads, precursor to the mighty XJ line. Mike's XS page would be a good place for you to check out more details, although I recall his page being tuned more toward the 650 twins. It's all good.

    The price is right, but the 750 was noted for being a bit fragile in the transmission department. Probably why they are a good deal rarer than contemporary Suzukis and Hondas. Ride it till it blows, at that price, you can't really lose (advice I should have taken for myself with this turbo).
