XS1100 air box on an XJ1100 - Will it fit?

    Title pretty much says it all, has any XJ1100 owners ever substituted an XS1100 air box? I'm missing the cover and filter support off of mine and the XS boxes are more readily available. Any reason why it wouldn't work?

    The XS box will fit up to the XJ carbs since they are basicly the same engine., but they mount in the frame different. The XS air filter goes in from the bottom and the XJ filter goes in from the side because the XJ frame is about 2 inches lower at the airbox.I suppose you could fab some brackets to mount it. Try posting a wanted add on the XS1100 web site(http://www.xs11.com/) , you might get lucky. There is alot of guys that have parts to sell. I'll look through my XS/XJ parts to see if I have one.
