Yeah and on TV Carroll Shelby claims it "soaks into metal." I think Carroll is getting feeble in his old age.

NOTHING SOAKS INTO METAL (except maybe snake oil...)

    Wanna buy some nanobots?

1 - How do you know that you have a carbon build up problem?

2 - Carbon is normally on the top of the piston or valve faces, not places the oil gets to. How did you get carbon in those places?

3 - If the product really works as stated it'll impregnate your clutch with all those neat and nifty friction fighting molecules. You can save some money and just tighten the clutch cable for the same effect.

Last I heard they were going for about $15K a dozen. Len is looking into getting some reproduced offshore to get the cost down.

So how about Shell's Nitrogen enriched gasoline cleaning up carbon on intake valves? If a loose Nitrogen atom bonds to a carbon atom, in a triple bond, you get Cyanide gas in your exhaust !!

I tune my engine by sense of smell, so I'm concerned.

78% (by volume) of what comes through the air filter is nitrogen. 7% (by weight) of the fuel air mix is gasoline.

Assume though, that the gasoline content of the fuel air mixture by volume is 7% (WAY HIGH). More than 70% of what's in the cylinder is nitrogen.

And unless you have a 60s beater, running way rich and idling in traffic all day there isn't any carbon buildup. Everything current runs way lean.

Gotta love the Shell marketing department.
