Electrical trouble

    Hello
    I just bought a 82 xj650
    I was able to ride it home runs awesome but tac blinkers and brake light all stopped working on the way home are these all on one circuit or individual where do I start this is my first xj however I just rebuilt an old xs last winter but I simplified the wiring on it and rather not do that on this bike

    start by checking the fuses old glass ones probaly
    both are on the signal fuse
    wireing diagram for you and component ID

    go buy a blade style inling fuse holder put aligator clips on it to bypass the glass fuse
    use as a tester
    if indeed you do have glass fuses replace them with a fuse block

    Thx for your help.
    I was able to upgrade the fuse and it had a short in the blinkers and all 3 where on same circut
