No need to sell you guys on the bike---have had it for a few years but with a kid on the way its time to say goodbye. It's been kept in a heated garage the last several winters here in Chicago, can't speak to before then. Since I've had it I've replaced the tires, suspension, redone the carbs, fixed the electrical issue with the kickstand cutoff, replaced the clutch cable, replaced a torn seat (still have the first one if you want to re-upholster), and fixed a leaky petcock. Feel free to follow up with any questions you might have!

Pretty little guy. Any ideas of how much you looking to get for it? Good luck with the sale and congrats on the baby!

1100—I should clarify—-currently having two problems with it, one easier than the other. First, no speedo cable. Just needs a new one. Second, it starts fine but cuts out when you try to toss it into first. Haven’t had time to dig in and see what’s going on.

I had a similar problem on my XJ. Engine would start fine in neutral but pop it into first and it would die immediately. Just a faulty side stand safety switch for me.

If you're stuck in the middle of nowhere and don't have a replacement side stand switch, i think you can jumper/connect the switch wires to get home. However the wire insulation may be brittle from heat and grungy from location. And, of course, will no longer cut the engine if you try to ride away with the side stand down.

I'm interested in the torn seat if it is still available.

I have the same 4 into 1 kerker. I'm guessing your bike is a little on the loud side?
