1982 XJ 550 Conversion to Cafe Bike (Aftermarket Tank)

    Has anyone put a new aftermarket Cafe Racer tank on an 1982 Maxim 550. I have been looking at a bunch of them and most don't appear to have the same connectors to the frame. Has anyone had success finding a nice aftermarket Cafe looking tank that fits my old girl. She has been sitting idle for a few years because I got a newer bigger bike but I am pretty amped up get her working and Mod her out.

    I did this on my xj900 don't know if will fit on a 550, on my 900 you just have to make a tab on the seat side, it's a Kawasaki Z650 tank:
