I am looking for a rear brakelight cover. Maybe the whole thing comes as one piece, I am not sure, I did not remove it. If that's the case, then I'm looking for the whole thing. I tried to look through the catalogue at XJ4ever, but I could not find it. It's probably something simple and I'm missing it. Anyway, I broke my shroud with my elbow, extremely painful, would not recommend!

I believe my bike is a XJ750 Maxim, with manufacturing date Sept 1983. A picture of it with my amazing tape job is attached.

I’m sure there are tons of them about. I have 3 in my basement but shipping to Canada would cost more than it is worth I’m sure.

I figured it might be something some people have around, but I am just not sure where to get one. I think it would probably be 20-30$ to ship it to Canada. Just my guess.

That's interesting and perhaps timely. I'll see if I can figure out how to send a PM here.

I've yet to see one that doesn't have cracks in the what-used-to-be-clear part on top

Mine used to not have a crack in it, but it happened to break my fall when some idiot (me) smashed it with their elbow, falling unrelated to the bike

I have one from an 82 XJ1100. Not sure if they’re the same? I think it’s in great shape (i.e no cracks)

I’m in Minnesota so I’m close to Canada depending on where you are located. Shoot me a message .

Yep, that's the one I have. Let me know if anyone needs/wants it. I have a bunch of other parts I'll be getting rid of so if someone has something they need to get their bike back on the road, I'm here. Shoot me a message and if I have what you need. As you can tell by my avatar picture, mine is far from stock.....

The part numbers I can see on mine are:

    On the back
    Stanley 040-6506
    SAE A(2)L(2)S(2)T80 Japan

    On the side:
    Stanley PRO577-SAEA80 Japan

The rear stanley 040-6506 seems to bring up some similar photos, but not exactly the same.
