1985 xj900 drive shaft uni cross replacement

    Hi there im just wondering if someone has magaged to replace just the cross in the driveshaft? And if so do they have a link or sizing or just a cross replacement and how you went about swapping them out?

    I don't think mine is needing doing but if and when the time comes better to already have done some research

    Hi, I went through the motions talking to and visiting places that supplied uni joints.
    At a pinch and at some considerable price an engineering shop would attempt to do it if I could supply the bits.
    Needless to say... I keep both my 900 uni joints greased up like crazy instead.
    900 uses a thicker shaft than the 750, so the uni is a bit rarer.
    Sorry, just my experience and frustration passed on.
