    Hi all

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a very low mileage (12,500 miles) 1991 Yamaha XJ900F here in the UK.

It’s in remarkable condition so I’m just going to undertake a light restoration, a bit of a ‘polisher upper’ for the dull winter months.

I’m replacing all of the 35 year old external rubber stuff and need to replace the rather old tyres. While the tyres are off I would like to spruce up the wheels. The edge of the rims and outer edges of the ‘spokes’ are polished, but the central hub and inner parts of the ‘spokes’ look to be painted. A kind of grey/silver (see photo). Does anyone know the colour code for this, or a modern colour that’s a close match? It’s not an essential job, but seems a sensible thing to do while the wheels are off. Incidentally, they look better in the photo than they really are!

I have a paint code for the metallic black body work, but the wheels are a mystery.

    Cheers
    Shaun
