here's another one for you guys
My '82 650 jumps out of 1st gear under mid to high acceleration.
My easy fix has been simply not to accelerate hard until I'm in 2nd.
    Known problem?
    Easy fix?
    What do I do?

Sometimes you can keep your foot on the lever and it may not do that ... of course that will only work for 1st ... which is an odd gear to start slipping ... 2nd and third are more common.
    Cool.

Checkn the adjustment on the gear lever to make sure it has enough movement and not catching on something like the footpeg. May simply be not enough movement preventing it from shifting far enough into gear.

You don't want to hear the other possibilities.
