81 750RH secca

    Recently got an 81 750 RH secca. Top end was in pieces, was going through the service manual, and it mentions cam bearings in the engine overhauling section. i cant find any information on these bearings. Help is needed.

    Cam bearings are part of the cylinder head.

    Machined into the head. Don't know if a machine shop can repair the head.

    Yes it's all the one piece of aluminium machined at the factory.

    Don't kid yourself. Anything's possible, but it just aint worth it.
    If the bearings are damaged you'd need to machine all the lower bearing lands, and also all the cap lands (where they fit together). Then line bore and hone it all as one. Probably $500 to $1000, then re lap the valves and reshim them, plus gaskets etc. If it was rare and unique, or in your own workshop, in your own time, then maybe you would, but otherwise, no.
