Last weekend I was trying to start my Seca. After a few intervals of running the starter (10 seconds at a time so I don't burn the starter), the starter stuck ON. Even turning off the key, etc wouldn't stop it. I had to remove the battery cable. When I re-attach, the starter kicks back on continually. I'm thinking my starter solenoid (which I just replaced last year) is stuck on. Am I right, or other suggestions ?

Sounds likely. Also recommend cleaning the starter button contacts. You could also disconnect the smaller wires of the solenoid that go to the button and see if it still engages when the battery is hooked up. This will tell you if it's in the solenoid itself or if it is in the start circuit of the bikes wiring harness

I cleaned starter button contacts last year, but good point on removing the solenoid wires. It keep churning, even after turning off the key so I suspect the solenoid is fried closed. :-/

if the contacts are welded or stuck removing the small wires will do nothing.
if removing the small wires stops the starter your starter button is sticking
3ed option possibly way low on oil and solinoid grounded back through the oil level switch

his solenoid is most likely the problem, but it is nice to be sure before he purchases one .
the small wires are connected to the coil of the solenoid relay so if removing them stops the starter it should be a starter button issue
if removing the small wires did not stop starter then his contacts are stuck closed and would need a new solenoid.
solenoid can also be ohmed out to check it meter would tell you if contacts are stuck, and if coil is shorted or burnt open.
starter button can be tested from connector of small solenoid wire by connecting meter to battery and starter button lead. press button look for 12 volts

no need to remove wires, turn the kill switch to off and stop the electrons
