84xj750 hot rod

I built this for a friend a couple of years ago and we've just been perfecting it as time went on. Front suspension is from a fzr 400 x up so it's the 41 mm tubes with a handlebar conversion kit I made for him. It's got the diversion wheel everybody uses on the rear but it's the first one I had ever set up so we have a good machinist who gets everything on center for us. Swing arms notched. Motor is stock other than the beautiful supertrap pipe.
This year we got rid of the hitachis and fit the 900s mikuni's on there along with the intakes and air horns. Very smooth now. Pulls like a freight train. The first time it was done I delivered it to him 300 km away and by the time I got there I realized I was going to have to build one for myself.

 

Last year we found three 83 xj900s as a package
With the intention of building the owner of this 750 a matching 900.
We noticed that all the foot controls are identical but cast in aluminum as opposed to the 750 steel units. And with three of them everybody got us a set.
