    How big of a bottle?

The PSI will vary drastically depending on the size of the bottle.

(Sorry, it's been many years and many beers, or I'd give you approximate numbers for each size tank.)

very close to 800 psi at 72 F, nothing to do with the size of the tank.
fill a little bottle from a big one, the little one has the same psi as the big one.
even the little 12 gram ones for BB guns

Thanks guys. I just exchanged my first tank for the welder. It was at 800 PSI. I thought is was low. It seems to be OK.

as long as there is liquid CO2 in it the gas will be about 800 psi. but when the liquid is gone psi goes down real fast.
just like the 20lbs tanks of propane for a grill.

lb, turn the flow meter off and burn a 1" bead. Turn it back on and burn another 1" bead beside it. Now you know what the arc and bead look like when the tank is out of gas. Hope this helps. Roc. By the way...do you have the flow meter set to the correct cfms for both your metal alloy and gauge?

Thanks rocs everything is working well. I am pretty much done building a trailer to haul bikes and other stuff. Polock you seem to be a fun guy to hang out with. You have BB guns and holes in the garage roof.

Hanging out with fun guys like Mr. P is how I got a framing nail in my shin bone.

But then again, you hosers have always been "hold my beer, I can do this" kinds of guys.

Polock, wanna go to Canada sometime this summer? The sign in lostboy's avatar is just down the road from groundhugger's house; I've been by there more times than I can count. We could tip some Molson Ex's and the water (Erie, north shore) isn't far away.

Mid-Ohio is awesome! I went there last year for the Indy races. Rode out to a buddy's in Cleveland, and then we rode the 90 miles down to the track and back Saturday and Sunday. Then I rode the 6 hours back home on Monday.

I haven't been for the vintage bike days though. We're going the following weekend for the superbike races this year. We're thinking about getting a cabin for the weekend at a nearby campground instead of riding 90 miles back and forth to Cleveland each day.

I can't wait! It's such a great time, and there's so many good spots to watch the action from.

Here's the link to the vintage motorcycle days:
