    Hello all,

I am brand new in to riding. I have a 1983 Yamaha xj750 maxim, and honestly this is my first real bike.

But I have a problem, the reach on the Clutch and Break levers are a stretch. I was told to look in to Adjustable levers to replace them. But all the one i have found are for xj650.

Do you know if they will fit the 750 or which ones would be good to get?

    Thanks

    J

Make sure you pay attention to the bore/piston diameter whatever master cylinder you go with. Which as far as I know is the real difference between 650 and 750 mc's because of the single disc vs twin disc

He's just looking for levers, not new master cylinder.

Far too many Ebay sellers say everything fits everything.

    Start a conversation with chacal.
If there is an adjustable set of levers that fit correctly, he will have them.

Keep in mind that the levers have a distance of travel that must be maintained for the controls to work correctly. I'm not sure that there are levers that can come closer to the bars and still maintain the correct amount of throw.

my Suzuki adjustable levers move the engagement point but not the position of the lever at rest. a dog leg type lever might rest closer to the grip
