what is the best lubricant for reassembling carburetors with rubber tubes.I just did a low end Carb rebuild.. only did the lower end because all four Carb was rebuilt by old owner and I found out they still leaked but it ran good just leaked lots of gas and I didn't like how the low end looked..... but I'm putting it back togeather an the tubes are just so tight to slide the carbs around any lube ideas..

After a lot of reading I decided that. A low end build and cleaning I all I think it needs till I get to really ride it to figure out the details

When I replace throttle shaft seals, and fuel-rail o-rings I lube them with a very light coating of motor oil.

    They push right in.

Silicone grease. I got mine at NAPA. Seems like a lot of folks on this site use and recommend it.

im old school..3in1 oil or..if you need a o-ring to stay put while you check alignment...vasoline...been working for me for over 40 years....but then again...lol.....silicone and gas-fumes just makes a slimy mess and doesnt seem to contract once expanded...but thats my opinion...hell,what do i know..i'm still using Indian Head, gasket sheets,a copy machine and lots of time to cut my own engine gaskets.....off topic...used to have a far out web site that you could just print out the gasket, tack to your sheet and cut out.Worked everytime for the scoots i work on (pre 1972) Wish i could find that site

Do you still sniff the sheets of paper when you take them out of the mimeograph machine, and then get that funky blue spot on the end of your nose, too? uh-oh.......I think I just dated myself------
