On the kawasaki gt750 the outer clutch cable is 2 piece. While replacing a final drive gearbox which had issues I notice the bottom half cable was stiff. After about 45 minutes of spraying into an attached funnel I gave up. So, I thought, how could I shift this stiffened oily gunge? The answer was to hook the end into my battery drill and spin the inner like it was "drilling" out the gunge. Hey Presto - it worked! Feeding clean engine oil in one end and pulling out the gunge the ther was a success!
Sure, new clutch cable needs to be on the list of to do's, but for now we're done.
