This bike has been a cold starter since new. It starts fine it just needs full choke for a moment and on cold days it takes a few times starting to stay running. No real problem. After the bike warmed up the bike idles around 1500-1900. The idle is suppose to 1050.
If I lower the idle when warm to 1050 will I have even more difficulty starting it? Please let me know before I start messing with things and create problems I don't need. These carbs and idle are still practically factory set.

That Factory Preset IS a good-bit of the problem.

Once the bike is warmed-up ... do a couple of things.

    First:

Check that the Throttle Cable Slack Adjustment ... the Adjustment on the Throttle Cable ... up at the handlebars ... at the end of the 90-Degree Turn Pipe ... coming out of the bottom of the handlebar control ... is NOT too tight.

Slack it off and see it the Idle decreases.

    Also:

    Once warmed-up ... reach-in ... under the carbs ... between 2 -&- 3.
    There's a Knob right there.

THAT ... IS ... The Official Idle Adjustment Rod.

Turn it a little ... Clock and Counter-clockwise and just listen.
Put the rev's right where you want 'em!

No. The idle sets the amount of air allowed in past the butterflies which then pulls the necessary fuel into the stream. Dropping the idle will decrease the amount of air but you have an excess now. The fuel will be pulled from the enrichment circuit which feeds from the bottom of the float bowls. Idle jets pull from the top. So it should not make a difference. The bike needs a rich mixture when cold and this should provide that.
What you describe as cold starting is exactly what everyone I know has even after a good carb cleaning. These bikes are just a little cold natured.
