Yeah I think I am okay for now. Took the bike for several rides today and no problems except the neutral light, haven't had time to look at it. The bike runs great and seems to have plenty of battery when I stop and start the bike, nice bright light with the key on, Must be charging okay. My meter might be off I will need to check it with another one when I get a chance. The reason the plug failed is because I used a harness from Ebay back in 09 that had a bad plug.
The plug was not holding the prongs correctly and I used some liquid electrical tape to separate them from shorting out. Over the years the prongs moved closer and well yeah that will do it. I forgot about the hack fix I gave it until I found the problem. When the bike was running and not charging the battery became a load and that load is what was blowing the fuses, When I replaced the 20 amp fuse with a 10 and then fixed the problem it blew because its not enough amps for that circuit. I think anyway lol AS for the headed grips. I am tapped into a yellow power in the headlight bucket. The grips have thier own fuse and I have not had any problems with them in the past. I am not sure what fuse that wire is on.
