ENGINE SWAP

    Does anybody know what engine could be swapped into a 1984 xj600? As I'm struggling to find the original engine here in Australia.

    Your XJ600 is similar to the North American FJ600.
    donor candidates;
    XJ550 Seca or Maxim
    FZ600 - 1986-88
    YX600 Radian

    I'm not sure what models were imported down under, I don't believe you got Maxims.
    How about Radians, did you get them?

    Note that TCI's, pick up coils and carbs do not always interchange with these bikes.
    Also the output shaft lengths may differ, make sure you compare drive sprocket position.
