Factory air mixture screw setting?

    Is there a recommended air mixture screw setting for my 82 xj550 maxim? I have the stock pipes, jets and air filter. I’m also at sea level as well. I currently have them 2 1/4 turns out

    2 1/2 turns out is baseline, and you will ritchen a bit from there to dial it in.

    And the 550 is usually more finicky than the 650/750, so you may end up as far out as 4 turns or more
