fuel line on petcock came out???

    Help! my fuel line on my petcock came out (86 700 airhead). It does not look like it should come out, like it was pressed in maybe? Can I get it back in, or am I gonna need to rebuild/replace?

    Had that happen several times on my X. I tapped it back in lightly with a hammer and went about my business. I wouldn't sweat it.

    I have had it happen also. It will do it again if you don't make a permenant repair. Clean the brass and the inside of the hole good with fine sandpaper or scotchbrite pad then cean with solvent( brake cleaner, acetone, laquer thinner) something that leaves no residue. Put a small dab of epoxy on the brass nipple and tap it back in the hole, CA(super glue) has also worked for me.
