Quick question. I have the two ground straps (battery to engine/engine to TCI side). What is the point to ground the wiring harness? Just find a spot on the bike?

So the secondary ground strap and that ringed black wire off the harness anchor at that same point?

I might have misunderstood your question. Are you looking where the engine to frame strap goes or the wiring harness one?

I'm wondering how to ground out the wiring harness itself. I know the battery is grounded when it bolts up since the ground stap hits the engine case and the secondary off the case, that strap bolts down to that point circled in your picture. However, the harness itself somehow has to make its way to ground. So, i'm wondering if it runs through the Ignition Coils, or something else it piggy backs off of (signal's ground, etc...) that it just happens as part of the ground circuit, or something else. The only thing I wonder why this isn't the case is that there is a black wire with a ringed loop on it, seemingly meant to attach under a screw point somewhere on the bike to hit the frame and ultimately, the grounded frame.

There should be a ground loop coming off the harness by the ignition coils. The bolt that goes through the coils will ground the harness.

Just make sure its clean! I had my frame powercoated and it caused an issue. I additionally ran a new 12 gauge wire from the rear bolt up to this one, good grounds can't hurt.

I'm in the same boat. I started with a completely torn down bike and everything has been re-done, so i'm shooting from the hip a bit because I either forgot or things have changed haha.

That's not a bad idea either
