Headlight: Leftover spring!

    I took apart my headlight assembly. A spring fell out (not a coil one).

    Now I have an extra spring, and I can't figure out where it goes.

    If anyone has the round headlight...

    Yeah, it holds your bulb (H4) in.

    Looking very similar to the Bulb Securing Spring ...

    What you have there is the "Headlight Hanger Spring"

    There's a DROP on the Bucket where that fits to allow the Headlight to be connected ... almost like its suspended from that Spring-Loaded Fulcrum Point.

    It allows the Beam to be adjusted UP/DOWN -- LEFT/RIGHT with the adjustment screws.

    Rick - That's what I suspected, and I think I've identified where it goes:

    I think the spring is #10 ("spring, qty 1"), securing #4 ("lens") to #2 ("rim"), probably with the tab on the upper left of #4, which fits into a slot on #2.

    The trouble is, I can't figure out how it's supposed to seat in there and do it's job. I don't know which side of the spring goes in first!

    A picture of the installed spring would be helpful, as the parts diagram is pretty abstract.
