igniton switch help quickly please

    i just layed my bike down in the rain.... i was going 15 around a turn and hit some oil. im good save some road rash and the bike is alrihgt. handlebars bent headlight broke, tach broke and ignition switch trashed.

    basically what i want to know is which 2 of the 3 wires do i jump together so i can try to start the bike? blue red and orange are what i have. thanks

    Sorry for your mishap. With bent handlebars and busted instruments and headlight, I'm not sure firing it up to ride should be high on your list of things to do, especially if you're still in the rain. Additionally, I think this problem might be best resolved through PMs, due to the obvious risk of cycle theft information.

    (I don't know how to hotwire an XJ, and I'm not sure I want anyone browsing this board to know either.)

    i figured it out.(i actually saw it posted on the board the other day but i guess its removed and i understand why)

    it starts up fine and i decided what to do to fix it...... and im in my garage now.

    ive got the glass out of the light and it still works

    im putting the tach back together as we speak

    the handle bars im about to start removing everyhting from them and gonna reshape them......even more reason to order some new ones though

    Thanks and i hope to have it back on the road in a few hours.

    Thanks alot, im glad to be ok too.

    Do you know what size bar the handle bars are? i may just run up to the store and get some chrome moly (i think thats what its called) round bar and try out straight bars

    they look to be what 7/8th

    thanks, i tried searching but could fine it.

    i couldnt find that size bar in town so im just gonna look on ebay or post a wtb thread for some bars when i get home from work today. thnks for al your help

    thay are 7/8" btw chacal may have a set of bars, aftermarket replacements are another cost efficient solution
