It's not starting

Got the bike like 6 months ago, ran great for it. Just as winter hit I slipped and fell on a reflector strip. Feel over again on a trailer getting it back home. Started fine after all the scuff marks and cranking the handle. Then winter hit and I didn't ride for about 4 months. Had a cover on but living in the tri-cities, it rained a bunch and the wing ripped the cover to shreds. It's now in the garage, but it might be too late. Tried starting up again and the starter chugas before some concerning rattling happens and she doesn't start. Just threw some new gas in and charged the battery up and it's still not firing. Y'all know if the fall might have loosened something or if rain got in the exhaust? And how do I get water out? Would a hill start help or just mess it all up?

 

Fresh fuel in the tank.
Open the drain screws on the carbs and empty them then put it on prime to fill with fresh fuel.
Damn hard starting if there is water in the tank.
Somewhere to start.

 

Rolling down the hill to try and bump start the bike is not going to help until you figure out why it is not starting on the starter. It would be okay if the bike was running well otherwise and your battery was just a little flat and didn't have enough energy to turn the starter and make spark. When there are other not starting issues rolling down a hill just puts you down the hill with a heavy to push, non-running bike at the bottom of the hill.
