    The "Security Code" is here to protect the site from automated scripts and SPAM. Yes, it may be a pain but it's for the best. Security Code is only 6 characters long so it doesn't slow down the login process that much.

    I get by without entering the code by logging in and bringing up new posts. Then I save it in my favourites. Next time it loads from the favourite I'm already logged in. Presumably saved in a cookie somewhere.

    Ive been on message boards for over 6 years now and have yet to see any plague of automated scripts or spam that isnt entered by a human.

    On my board or any of the other 4 that Im a part of... Hmm...

    The chance of someone actualy wanting to hack a user account is slim to none. Especially considering the topic: Yamaha XJ bikes ;)
