I've got an XJ650 MAXIM - I'm looking for a 700/750 tank because it's bigger. I'm tired of stopping every 150-160 km... this will help me tour some of the more remote places I'm planning on going.

Looking for a clean usable tank - preferably in a dark color ( bike is black right now ).

    Cheers,
    woot.

    Woot,

I know that the 750 will work, but I'm not sure about the 700. The thing to watch for are the SECA tanks where the seat butts up to the tank and not over the tank like the XJ650. Unless you have a custom seat or don't care. I'm looking to. They have been on ebay, but they are not cheap.

Yes - just looking for the maxim tank - I think the 700 tank is the same as the 750 tank - the 700 is a tarif fighting bike, so it's the 750 detuned from what I understand.

Woot you may also want to give the guys at http://www.classicautocycle.com/products.asp a call or E-mail they are parting out two XJ750 and a 1985 XJ 700 Maxim. I don't think that the XJ700X will work on are XJ, but i do think that the regular XJ700 would work.
