my xj750m is gunna turn 40k soon!!!

    39125 miles now, gunna hit the 40k mark by the end of the month!!
    Gunna do a complete tear down, repaint, rebuild this winter. anything i need to take special attention too on a bike with this many miles(first bike ive owned that has turned over even 20k) btw, i had to push the thing a few miles yesterday due to a broken cluth cable(didnt want to dump the frashly painted tank into the asphalt because ive never driven a bike without a clutch before), from what i could tell it was the original cable.

    Welcome to the club I'm working on 41K in the next couple of weeks. I would check compression, if you are going to tear it down anyway rings may be on the menu. My compression is actually great 145 plus or minus a bit across all 4. Could be rings were done.
